Joy Lamboy grew up in the Bay Area, where she participated in gymnastics, competitive diving, and basketball throughout her elementary, middle and high school years. After high school, Joy went on to attend San Diego State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Continuing her commitment to traditionally underserved populations, Joy currently works at City College of San Francisco in the Student Development Division. She is concurrently pursuing her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of San Francisco, where she is focusing on the impact of campus climate and culture. In her free time, Joy enjoys going to the gym, studying, and relaxing at her home in the East Bay.
