Sport plays a major role in colleges and universities in the United States; for the student athletes who play, the coaches and faculty that oversee them, and the many committed fans who participate. With the trend of increased participation comes the potential for increased revenues for college sport programs as well as an increase in enrollment. Current research from On Focus’ base location in San Francisco, CA shows that athletic program revenue reaches well into the millions.

1) Texas $47,556,281

2) Tennessee $46,704,719

3) Ohio State $46,242,355

In addition to football data, forbes.com highlights the ranking of American basketball teams:

The defending national champion Kansas Jayhawks moved up three spots to become the fifth most valuable team, worth $21.7 million.

Athletic conferences receive annual payments from the NCAA's central basketball fund of more than $140 million based on the number of games their teams participate in during the NCAA tournament over a six-year rolling period.
The value of the top 20 teams increased by 3.4% last year to an average of $17.5 million, while operating income grew by 5.7% to an average of $10.8 million.2

This data is just one indication of the growing potential for sport in colleges and universities in the United Kingdom. With this growth comes the need for enhanced services for athletes. On Focus UK works closely with colleges and universities to assist both educational institutions in developing and expanding their programs, as well as student athletes in effectively transitioning throughout their education and careers.
